Series of lecture on the 'Retail' at FDDI, Noida

Recently, a series of lecture on the 'Retail' was held at the Centre for Retail Management (CRM) of the Footwear & Design & Development Institute (FDDI) Noida.

"The students are made to interact with the corporate world at frequent intervals so that they can imbibe corporate culture and norms followed there." - Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI.

The series was kicked off with Mr. Munish Chawla, Regional Business Executive, Tanishq delivering a lecture. The very next day, Mr. K.S. Wasu, who has more than 15 years of industry experience with reputed brands and companies like HUL (Hindustan Unilever Limited), Zodiac & Cottons by Century took up a session with the Under Graduate & Post Graduate Retail students.

According to Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI, "The objective of this series is to invite well-known industry speakers from different companies/ institutes, so that the students may benefit due to the interactive sessions held with them."

"FDDI remains in continuous touch with the industry for overall development of the students. The students are made to interact with the corporate world at frequent intervals so that they can imbibe corporate culture and norms followed there", added Mr. Lakhara.

The other speakers who graced this series were Mr. Ajeet Chauhan, Vice President-Human Resources & Training, Nirula's; Mr. Saurabh Sharma, Brand Manager, Planet Retail. & Mr. Faraji Kasidi, MBA, M.Phil., from Arusha University (Government of Tanzania).

The speakers addressed the students on different practical topics concerning Retail. These interactive sessions by the doyens of the industry motivated the students to think rationally, participate actively in the discussions and further add to their pool of knowledge.

At FDDI, eminent guest faculty from industry interacts with the students on various themes and topics on regular intervals that give the students a clear insight about the expectations of the industry from the students.
