"There's a world of suffering in every little bit of fur," says PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk. "But with its fur-free pledge, ABC has saved countless animals and sent a message of compassion throughout the retail community and beyond."
ABC Distributing follows other companies, including youth retailers Forever 21 and J.Crew, which have stopped selling fur within the past year as a result of protests by PETA.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is largest animal rights organization in the world. Founded in 1980, PETA is dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals. PETA operates under the simple principle that animals are not ours to eat, wear experiment on, or use for entertainment.
