Kronos Worldwide Inc announced a price increase for all titanium dioxide products sold in North America (NA).
Effective January 1, 2012, or as permitted by contract, prices for all Kronos titanium dioxide products sold in North America will be increased by 15 cents per pound.
This increase is in addition to the increases previously announced.
KRONOS Worldwide Inc and its predecessors have been producing titanium dioxide pigments (TiO2) since 1916. During this same time period, the Titanium Pigment Corporation of Niagara Falls, New York, and the Titan Co. AS, of Norway simultaneously began commercial production of this new white pigment that was principally used in paints. Today, TiO2 is the world's primary pigment for providing whiteness, brightness and opacity.
