Mumbai-based and vertically integrated textile major – Alok Industries posted a 50.12 percent jump in net profits in the third quarter ending December 31, 2012.
In the quarter under review, Alok reported a net profit of Rs 1.47 billion against Rs 980.36 million in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
In the same period, net sales too grew by 48.36 percent year-on-year to Rs 23.86 billion from Rs 16.08 billion in the corresponding quarter of fiscal 2010-11.
Exports also skyrocketed from Rs 5.94 billon in the third quarter of 2010-11 to Rs 7.78 billion, up 30.84 percent.
