SKNL to set up Rs130 cr cotton plant under Martin Haemerle

S Kumars Nationwide (SKNL) has announced appointment of Franz Martin Haemerle as CEO of its high-value cotton fabric project.
Haemerle, an Austrian, has more than 25 years of experience in this field.
He operated his own fabric business in Austria.
SKNL also plans to engage a marketing professional based in Europe and an international designer soon.
Company's expansion plans involve establishing a Rs130 crore high-value cotton fabric manufacturing unit in Vapi, Gujarat.
This new plant will produce 14 million tons of cotton fabric per annum and will start commercial production by the end of 2007.
Nitin Kasliwal, Managing Director, informed that all the production from this unit will be exported to Europe and other developed countries that serve as potential markets.
Company plans to export over 6000 million metres of fabric each year.
