Sears' Independent board members reluctant to get re-elected

Leading multi-channel retailer Sears Canada Inc announced that it has received notice from each of the six independent members of its Board of Directors that they do not intend to put their names forward as nominees for re-election to the Board at the next annual meeting of shareholders.
They intend to continue to serve on the Board until the next shareholders' meeting to be held during the spring.
Sears Canada is a multi-channel retailer with a network of 188 corporate stores, 181 dealer stores, 65 home improvement showrooms, over 2,100 catalogue merchandise pick-up locations, 112 Sears Travel offices and a nationwide home maintenance, repair, and installation network.
