Asian-American groups are not happy with the offending yellow picture of Asian youth on adidas shoe's tongue as it features bowl-cut hair, pig nose and buck-teeth.
The groups have also claimed that the picture of this new trainer is an anti-Asian stereotype.
However, adidas spokeswoman refuted these allegations saying that the picture was not offending any particular race in the world. The image was created by US graffiti artist Barry McGee.
The overall trainer was designed by US clothing firm Huf for German-based adidas.
Manufactured in a limited quantity of 1,000 pairs, the retail price of adidas 'Yellow Series Y1 Huf' shoe is $250.
