The event on April 23rd benefits the Lynnhaven River 2007 Project -- a non-profit organization working to improve the water quality of this first tributary river into the Chesapeake Bay.
The July 29th event benefits the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. In addition to raising money for the foundation, Paddle for the Bay was developed to help educate the public about the current condition of the bay and what can be done to save it for future generations.
