RIL put scissors on product prices – LAB retains same

Leading Indian Chemical and Textile Company Reliance Industries Ltd announced, reduction in product prices for the second month in all its product categories such as polyester, polymers and fiber intermediates, but it keeps on the same price for linear alkyl benzene (LAB) at Rs 64.30. .

The cut down in the price was major for mono-ethylene glycol (MEG), reduced 23.7 percent by Rs 11.50/KG at Rs 37.10. The other segment of fibre intermediate, purified terephthalic acid (PTA) reduced by Rs 4.80, 11 percent to Rs 37.50.

Polyester prices reduced by Rs 6 and Rs 7 per KG for partially oriented yarn (POY) and polyester staple fibre (PSF) in that same order. While POY price was cut by 8.2 percent to Rs 67/KG, PSF was reduced by 10.4 percent to Rs 60.50.

Likewise, polymer prices were also been reduced by between 9.2 percent and 13.6 percent. Polyethylene (PE) prices was reduced Rs 5, 9.2 percent to Rs 49.50.

Poly vinyl chloride (PVC) by Rs 6, 13.6 percent at Rs 38 and polypropylene (PP) by Rs 7, 12.2 percent to Rs 50.40.
