Vardhman Textiles reported fourth quarter FY06 recurring Profit After Tax (PAT) at Rs49.2 crore and adjusted PAT was Rs76.2 crore higher than the expected.
Company's revenue increased 4 percent at Rs490 crore on year on year basis with yarn segment being the major contributor accounting for 67 percent of total revenues.
Its fabric capacity increased 40-42 million meters in FY06 from 25 million meters in FY05.
Vardhaman also plans to invest Rs190 crore in greenfield project that will substantially expand its fabric capacity by December 2007.
Vardhman is a major integrated textile producer in India. Setup in 1962 at Ludhiana, Northern India, the Group has expanded in to perhaps, the largest textile conglomerate in India.
