Six years ago, Haojey began a videoconferencing system, with computers linking the firm's three offices in Taipei (head office), the Douliu plant in Taiwan and its mainland China plant. "The system has greatly reduced our time in meetings," said Chen.
Taiwan's industry is moving toward industrial textiles, such as tires, electronics and energy textiles. Demand for industrial textiles from these industries is strong.
Chen said the company established local market channels first and then extended them to the world market. In recent years, Haojey established business ties with the world's major brand names such as Nike and Addidas.
"As a matter of fact," said Chen, "we take an active strategy to promote our products. Our salesmen call on these world major brands and make presentations, which gives them a good impression of our products. This strategy has proved to be workable and successful."
Haojey Ltd was formed in October 1979, with its current administrative headquarter located in the heart of Taipei city's finance district on Tun Hwa South Road.
Its factory, with a total area of 25,000 square meters, is located amidst a surrounding of elegant and splendid landscapes of the city of Yuan Line, inside the Dou-Liou Industrial Expansion District. Within the factory, approximately 22,000 square meters are devoted to the function of Haojey's manufacturing.
