Debenhams opens second store

UK's second biggest department store chain, Debenhams has opened its second store in Indonesia recently and will be managed in association with local retail franchise company P T Mitra Adi Perkasa (MAP).
International Director of Debenhams, Francis McAuley said that he was optimistic about the Indonesian market. He said that along with Indonesia, they consider Philippines and India as potential hub.
McAuley denied that products in his store will be costly saying that customers will be pleasantly surprised to find the prices of garments, shoes or shirts very affordable.
To catch a hold in the market, he said that they will be following the promotional offers like discounts and many more and also hinted that they may consider opening of third store by the next year.
He disclosed that it is their first store where they have chosen local designers with three of them working for us. The local brands selected for the store include Ghea, Denny Wirawan, Ali Charisma, and Prajudi.
