Footwear retailer DSW prices IPO at $19.00 per share

Ohio based specialty fashion branded footwear retailer DSW Inc announced the public offering of 14,062,500 of its Class A common shares was priced at $19.00 per share.

All the Class A common shares will be issued and sold by DSW. In addition, DSW has granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to 2,109,375 additional Class A common shares. The offering is expected to close on July 5, 2005.

DSW's Class A common shares are expected to begin trading today on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "DSW."

Lehman Brothers Inc is acting as sole book-running manager of the offering, with Goldman, Sachs & Co. as lead manager, and CIBC World Markets Corp. and Johnson Rice & Company, L.L.C. acting as co-managers.

A registration statement relating to these securities was declared effective today by the Securities and Exchange Commission. US based DSW footwear retailer, recently consummated its initial public offering on July 5, 2005. Prior to the IPO, DWS was wholly owned by Retail Ventures Inc. Retail Ventures now owns more than 60% of our outstanding common shares and controls over 90% of the voting rights associated with these shares. It also offers kids footwear.
