The show began with the fabric collection from two leading fabric manufacturers of Italy - Vitale Barberis Canonico & Lanificio F.Lli Cerruti S.P.A. Vitale Barberis Canonico is famous for their 'Classic Formals', whereas Lanificio F. Lli Cerruti S. P. A. is strong in 'Fashion Formals'.
Both the companies showcased their innovative collections of suits, jackets and trousers in pure wool and exotic blend. Well known designer Mr. Rajesh Pratap Singh has stylised & constructed the garments for these two Italian companies.
Knitwear collection of Monte Carlo & Canterbury were presented by Oswal Woollen Mills. Their designers put up some of the very innovative designs like – shawl collar, jewel embellishment with modern & ethnic styling.
Their collection can fit both the mass market and the niche. Made from fine merino wool and innovative wool blends, their range will be able to satisfy the growing demands of young consumers for quality & fashion.
The fashion evening concluded with the mesmerizing collection of shawls and stoles from Ahujasons Shawlwale. For Ahujasons shawl are not mere merchandise, it is a part of culture, traditions and craft. Their collection was made of pure wool, wool blends & pashmina.
Vibrant colour and a mixture of traditional and modern patterns were well applauded by the audience. 'Kalamkari Shawl' was the unique presentation of the evening. Kashmiri pattern, highlighted using chain stitch, on the hand painted shawls made 'Kalamkari Shawl' a product worth waiting for in this winter.
The winning creation of “Godrej Ezee Banao Sweater Bano Star“ contest was also presented. The winner of this year is Mr. Ashok Kumar Ghosh from Kolkata and the garment has been developed by Oswal Woollen Mills as a special gesture.
Cosmic Institute of Foreign Trade was also a partner of this event. The show was followed by a cocktail and a gala dinner, which was again a collection from ethnic Indian and Western cuisine.
