'Textile Days India' ends on a highly optimistic note

“Textile Days India” ended in Mumbai with the loudest applause from its most serious critics – the textile industry. “The best thing that has happened for the industry“ was the unanimous opinion of the global textile industry, as they took in the exquisite mix of home fashion and apparel fabrics & accessories on display at two fairs.
The ideal combination of Heimtextil India (Home fashion) and Texworld India (Apparel fabrics and accessories) provided the right impulses to the textile industry who arrived in Mumbai to make contacts and do business.
A significant rise in visitor numbers was registered at Textile Days India. More than 12,456 visitors from 99 countries met a grand total of 318 exhibitors (220 at Heimtextil India, and 98 at Texworld India), from 15 countries.
In its seventh year Heimtextil India continued to inspire, showcasing the entire range of home fashion products from bed, bath, table & kitchen linen to upholstery and accessories, while Texworld India surprised with its style and fantasy.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Mr. Detlef Braun, Managing Director and Member of the Board of Messe Frankfurt GmbH, said, “With this move Messe Frankfurt has unleashed the powerhouse of Indian textiles unto the global arena."
"India is an incredible textile country not only with its textile tradition but also with its depth of products, creativity and quality, and this was unabashedly evident at Textile Days India.”
Meanwhile, the premier of Texworld India was greeted with great enthusiasm by the industry, who, until now had no international platform in the country.
