Benninger textile systems' success story in India

Benninger is a high performing textile machinery enterprise for weaving preparation and textile finishing equipment.

Thanks to abolition of textile quotas as well as a friendly investment climate for textiles in India i.e. promulgation of various schemes like Technology Up gradation Fund (TUF) and Capital subsidy, India has emerged as a very important and growing market and we at Benninger take pride in announcing that our organization has been able to achieve excellent success in this growing market.

As an indication of our growing presence, the shipments for weaving preparatory as well as wet finishing machines to India which was at a level of SFr. 35 Mio during the year 2004 jumped to SFr. 55 Mio in 2005 (almost 70 % increase) and is expected to be 60 Mio during 2006. Business outlook for 2007 also indicates a favorable position with the estimated shipments to be in the region of SFr. 45 Mio.

Our weaving preparation division offering products like direct warper, sectional warper and sizing machine with the latest technology and user friendly features, has been able to supply machines to almost all the weaving projects in India. In many cases, due to excellent performance of our machinery, we have received repeat orders from our customers.

On the wet finishing side, we can say that Benninger was able to achieve an important market share and has been the main supplier of wet finishing machines to many of the apparel as well as wide width sheeting projects commissioned in India in the last 2 years as well as those to be commissioned in the near future.
