Century of Success - 2006 proves a milestone for Li & Fung

Across the world, Li & Fung has been celebrating its centenary with a series of events and local celebrations with staff and their families throughout the year. A major highlight is the creation of the Li & Fung Scholarships programme by Li & Fung (1906) Foundation Limited, a Hong Kong charity privately funded by Drs Victor and William Fung.

The programme offers one-off grants totalling HK$100 million to support 100 scholarships every year for undergraduates in Hong Kong and the mainland of China.

The cocktail reception today rounded up the Group's year long centennial celebrations, and culminated in a display of fireworks effects, cascading in the form of a waterfall. The cascading fireworks symbolised the Group's long history and energy for "Building for the Next 100 Years".
