As part of the integration of Boehme, DyStar is realigning its textile and leather auxiliaries activities in Germany to create a basis for profitable growth. The Boehme site in Geretsried is to be fully integrated into DyStar Textilfarben GmbH effective October 1, 2007.
It will remain a key site within the DyStar organisation. The integration will bring synergies in administration, marketing/development/sales and production/logistics and will affect 82 jobs at Geretsried by the third quarter 2007.
The company also plans to close its production site in Zwickau effective June 30, 2007. 24 employees will be affected by the closure. The products currently manufactured in Zwickau will be transferred to other DyStar sites closer to its markets and to Geretsried.
