With its strong agri-focus and leveraging its varied agro-climatic zones, Gujarat achieved double-digit growth in agriculture against a National average of about 3%. Gujarat is now India's most industrialized state with 20% of India's manufacturing output, 21% of its exports and 30% of stock market capitalization. Gujarat's power infrastructure in terms of generation, transmission and distribution is amongst the best in the country.

This has acted as a fillip in creation of new industries. For example, in the last five years, there has been an addition of 70,000 units in the small-scale sector. The number of small-scale units stands at 3.12 lakh units – an all time high record. Gujarat with its high growth is enhancing India's position as an investment destination. Within India, it has emerged as the top investment destination.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Reliance is a Gujarati company. It is an Indian company And it is a global company. That is how it was conceived by my father, Shri Dhirubhai Ambani. Gujarat has always been one of the pre-eminent regions of India. History is replete of stories of Gujarat as a treasure hunt destination for the marauders from Central Asia.
