Pakistan's 1st Monfortex denim finishing range

Pakistan's first Monfortex denim finishing line has been installed at US Denim's facility in Raiwind. It features a width of 2 m and is equipped with a sanforizing unit as well as the Monforts skew system and a Goller desizing unit.

The Monfortex unit is running weights of between 300-500 gsm and the sanforizing unit is achieving shrinkage rates of from 8-12%.

The Fabric processed at US Denim is 30% with Lycra (100% cotton with 5% Lycra) and 70% without Lycra (65% cotton / 35% polyester).

Yarns employed are 100% cotton in the range of 5-16 Ne in the warp and 20 Ne in the weft insertion. Around 30% of products also employ Lycra for additional stretch.

General Technical Manager, Mr. Amjad, explained that he had had experience with Monforts systems at another Pakistan operation and found their performance to be very satisfactory.

In addition, US Denim is equipped with American rope dyeing lines, machinery for ball warping, beaming and sizing and air jet looms from Belgium. Production at the moment is 25,000 m per day with a target of eventually achieving 45,000 m per day.

US Apparel's made up garments are exported to a wide range of major retailers worldwide.

The product ranges for men, women and children include denim vests, fashion trousers, basic five pocket jeans, cargo trousers, denim shirts, basic dirty five pocket jeans, Chinos, long patched trousers, Camo cargo pants, denim jackets, embroidered denim trousers, belt fashion trouser and twill skirts.
