Backpack featuring CORDURA fabric wins 'Gear of The Year' award

CORDURA fabric, a certified product of INVISTA Performance Materials, is part of yet another award-winning product. Outside Magazine recently named the Granite Gear Nimbus Meridian, which is manufactured with CORDURA throughout the pack's body, as the winner in the backpack category of the magazine's coveted 'Gear of the Year' awards.

The awards are part of Outside Magazine's 2007 Spring/Summer Buyer's Guide, which is regarded among adventure enthusiasts as a vital resource for the latest high-performance gear. From more than 400 pieces of equipment that are reviewed, only 15 are featured in the magazine as "the best of the best." The Nimbus Meridian backpack was recognized for its remarkable comfort, versatility and durability, all of which are trademarks of the CORDURA and Granite Gear brands.

CORDURA also was featured in the hiking section of Outside Magazine's Spring/Summer Buyer's Guide for the Contour Windshirt by Outdoor Research. The Contour Windshirt is a CORDURA pullover that manages to be both tough and lightweight at thesame time, compelling Outside Magazine to pronounce it an "essential" for the upcoming hiking season.
