The first thing was to locate brightly coloured materials to redecorate the interior as soon as possible. These had to be in sufficiently large quantities and also satisfy the hospital safety requirements. Stephanie Bublitz referred the TV production company straightaway to Trevira.
The maker of flame retardant polyester fibres at once succeeded in bringing weavers Gebrüder Munzert onto the project. Bernd Kout, Managing Director, responded to the idea with enthusiasm, promising immediate delivery of materials. In the final instance over 80 metres of Trevira CS fabric were made available for the project.
“We take materials in warm yet fresh colour compositions and combine these in suitable tonal formations”, says Stephanie Bublitz, who always remains totally enthusiastic about the application of this relatively simple principle in changing the interior environment effectively.
The firm of Lieske, Berlin, was able to make beautiful curtains from the yellow-green striped article “CS Monti“ and the block yellow “CS Mira“. They served to make both patient and examination rooms warmer and friendlier.
Founded in 1925, the upper Franconian weavers Gebrüder Munzert produces jacquard weaves for decorative and furniture fabrics that are sold worldwide. The company's export quota lies around 50%. The textile qualities are available in various widths up to three metres.
The production is effected exclusively at the company's location in north Bavaria. For care and children's homes interior designers and architects can choose from a comprehensive collection of fabrics that create a mood of well being from what has hitherto been a mostly sober milieu.
Textiles for hospitals must satisfy particularly stringent requirements. Trevira CS materials are not only permanently flame retardant, and thus comply with all international standards in fire protection, they are also easy to maintain and their true colours can only serve to brighten the daily life of the clinic.
