drapilux gains Trevira CS Award at Decosit Brussels

This year visitors to Decosit Brussels had an unusual project to admire, the like of which had never been seen at a fair. This was the "Hot Box by Trevira", a large box-shape structure about 100 square metres in size, appearing from the outside as if completely engulfed in flames.

The impression was created by a Trevira CS fabric printed with a sea of flame. The silk weavers, Pongs (Germany), had supplied the print base, while i-oms, the advertising print specialist from Belgium, had taken care of the printing. Inside the Box itself the printed fabric on the walls was left white. Here two figures in Trevira CS materials were "extinguishing" the flames, CS fabrics in red, white and yellow, which emerged in the form of cushions and drape materials from the fire hoses, likewise made from textiles.

The message from the tableau was clear and immediate: fire can be prevented with permanently flame retardant Trevira CS fabrics, which combine function and aesthetics in one. Exhibitors were delighted with the spectacular set-up and the way it presented their products, especially as it included also a mini fabric showcase supplying details on the manufacturers of the fabrics being used.

The Hot Box itself involved 31 Trevira customers, while a further 45 fabrics were on show at the Trevira Stand in Hall 9, which likewise reproduced the colours of fire. 117 Trevira CS partners took part at Decosit 2007, making up around a third of the exhibitors. It was therefore possible for everyone wanting information about the products on display, both in the Hot Box and on the Trevira Stand, to access this straightaway and on the spot.
