Victor Innovatex bags Textile Award for sustainable design at IIDEX

Fabric design and manufacturing company Victor Innovatex announced that the collection Retro Action from the eco by design series was the only textile winner of the prestigious ARIDO bronze Product Award for Sustainable Design at IIDEX NeoCon Canada 2005. Victor's Retro Action was selected by a panel of 19 judges which operates on a point system.

The ARIDO awards are cosponsored by the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO) and Merchandise Mart Properties. IIDEX NeoCon Canada is Canada's largest exhibition and conference for the design and management of interior environments.

The eco by design series is the first sustainable multicolored seating fabric collection which has been designed on the Eco Intelligence platform. The eco by design series includes three themes, with five interactive patterns and 180 colours.

Retro Action, the second theme of the series, captures the look and feel of mid-century influence and design elements, as well as the bright, bold colours of that period. Its patterns include Boomerang (the statement pattern), Frequency, Hopscotch, Night Spot and Rhythm.

All patterns from each theme are designed to work together from both a pattern and colour standpoint, with each pattern offering a cohesive, yet distinctive colourline. The collection addresses the needs of office interiors, not only offering the utmost quality, but also featuring versatility as the patterns can be used across a wide variety of applications, ranging from task chairs to reception areas.
