Yihua Unifi & Fountain Set to display antimicrobial fabrics at interTEXTILE

Yihua Unifi and Fountain Set (Holdings) Limited have partnered to develop a broad range of circular knit antimicrobial fabrics for the intimate, active wear, casual and swim wear markets.

These families of fabrics from Fountain Set all contain A.M.Y. yarn from Yihua Unifi, which provides permanent antimicrobial and odour control. The first batch of fabric samples will be showcased at the interTEXTILE SHANGHAI Apparel Fabrics Show, held on October 26-29 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

The bacteriostatic and odour controlling properties of A.M.Y. yarns from Yihua Unifi are permanently embedded into the yarn polymer, and protect against microbes that can cause foul odours, discoloration, mildew formation and apparel degradation for the life of the garment.

Mr. Sam Smith, President of Yihua Unifi stated that with more than 36 years of experience, Fountain Set is a well known global leader in the production and sales of circular knitted fabrics based in the region, making them an excellent partner to launch one of their premier yarn brands to the Asian market.

Fabrics made with A.M.Y yarn can be used in various apparel applications such as intimates, sports wear and causal wear. These fabrics not only provide lightweight comfort to the wearer, but also provide superior protection against a wide range of micro-organisms, shielding the wearer from various kinds of bacteria. Fountain Set and Yihua Unifi will hold a joint technical seminar on October 27 during interTEXTILE SHANGHAI.
