Honeywell hives off US nylon carpet fibres venture to Shaw Inds

Honeywell has completed the sale of its US nylon carpet fibres business to Shaw Industries, said official of Honeywell.
The deal comprises fiber-producing factories at Anderson, Clemson, and Columbia, South Carolina, and Honeywell's 50 percent investment in Evergreen Nylon Recycling.
Both companies also entered into a long-term agreement under which Honeywell will provide Shaw with caprolactam and nylon resins.
Honeywell will retain its intermediary businesses, manufacturing caprolactam, nylon resins, ammonium sulfate, and other chemicals.
