S Kumar sets target of Rs 5 bn sales from new garment label

A leading textile and garment firm, S Kumars Nationwide Limited, has set a target of attaining sales of Rs 5 billion in the next 3-4 years from its recently introduced garment brand World Player, informed, Johnny John, COO of World Player.

During the official launch of the brand, Jon averred that, they are basically targeting youth in the age group of 18-35 years, from semi-urban and rural areas. They are soon to step in to an all-India launch.

By next month, the brand will be launched in West Bengal, Haryana, Punjab and Delhi. Currently, the firm has 12 distributors and 902 retailers in four southern states. Within the next few years, the firm intends to set up more than 8,000 point of sale outlets, pan-India.

While World Player garments are priced from Rs 149 onwards, accessories are priced at Rs 99 onwards. Without giving out any numbers on investment, COO of the firm said that, the company will make the necessary investment. SKNL entered in to a tie up with SAFEX to develop warehouses across the nation.
