Glen Raven launches new Sunbrella awning fabrics

New Sunbrella awning fabrics introduced by global leader in performance fabrics Glen Raven Custom Fabrics this fall feature classic stripes in both traditional and new colors. Cocoa, Citrus and a combination of neutral colors called Plantain are the latest additions to the Sunbrella color palette for fixed and retractable awnings.

"Company goal is to offer awning fabrics that address the full range of home décor tastes," said Doug DuBay, awning products manager for Glen Raven, the makers of Sunbrella brand fabrics. "While most of the new stripes are based on a classic awning look, some of the new colors are rather innovative when it comes to awnings."

Armada is a simple bar stripe, with blended accents, offering a fresh, contemporary look. Armada is being offered in two colors, Cocoa, a light chocolate on a Vellum background, and Citrus, a blended Tuscan color also on Vellum background. While new to awning fabrics, Cocoa and Citrus have proven to be popular additions within the Sunbrella casual furniture fabric line.

Carlton is a large-scale stripe that is designed to work well in retractable awning applications where relatively large expanses of fabric are often shown. The stripe pattern for Carlton is complex with varying width stripes and a combination of Cocoa, Gold and Beige that have given rise to a new color name, Plantain.

Roanoke, a popular stripe in casual furniture for many years, has been transitioned this fall to an awning fabric. Offered in both rich and cool color combinations, Roanoke is available in Jewel, a combination of classic red, green and navy, and Blue Mist, a cooler combination of Cocoa and Spa with vellum accents.
