"Preserving America's past is vital to creating a brighter future. Not only do historic places revitalize communities, they serve as important educational tools for future generations." said Richard Moe, President of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

"They're very pleased to have this relationship with Lowe's, a company that understands the importance of continual community improvement."

"The growing trend to subdivide large tracts of land for development is having a devastating impact on the forests of America's Northeast," said Steve McCormick, President and CEO of The Nature Conservancy.

"With this funding from Lowe's, The Nature Conservancy will be able to restore and protect critical wildlife habitat and watersheds that provide essential resources to local communities across the Northeast."
