Heimtextil, the world's biggest trade fair for home and house-hold textiles, will mark the start of the new business year, 2006 under the motto 'The Art of Home Fashion' and, from 11 to 14 January, transform Frankfurt into the catchment area for the international textile industry and specialists from the wholesale and retail trades, as well as interior decorators, interior architects, architects and contract planners.
And, as in previous years, Heimtextil 2006 will generate new impulses for the home and household textiles sector with a variety of projects trans-cending simple product presentations. Creativity and quality are called for when it comes to innovations:
Textile and Contract Innovation Prize For the third time, AIT, the newspaper for architecture and interior architecture, will present the Textile and Contract Innovation Prize at the forthcoming Heimtextil.
This prize is aimed at industrial companies and companies that use textile products, textiles for commercial applications and room systems (ceiling / wall / furniture / dividing wall and sun-protection systems), as well as architects, interior architects and designers who work in these fields.
It is awarded in accordance with architectural criteria to products and concepts distinguished by convincing design and technical aspects. The intention behind the Innovation Prize is to emphasise the architectural quality of textile products and room solutions because it is this quality that forms the foundation for the success of a product on the market.
