In the first three quarters of 2007, exports turnover of Vinh Phuc Province located in Northern Vietnam touched US $247.8 million, posting a year–on–year growth of 29.15 percent. Of these, foreign–invested sectors account for $210.5 million, showing a 33.55 percent rise from same period 2006, official sources from Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
Textile and apparel industry is the biggest currency earner for the province. From January to September this year, exports generated $106 million for the region, representing a growth of around 15 percent in comparison to corresponding period last year.
Vinh Phuc also fetched revenue from exports of other products like footwear and woodwork, which helped in the country's strong economical growth.
Major exporting markets of the province include EU, Russia, China, Italy and the ASEAN region.
