Sino-Vietnamese trade volume target set at US $15bln by 2010

China and Vietnam have agreed to set a target of US $10 billion in target for 2007-2008 and $15 billion by 2010, Deputy Minister of Trade Phan The Rue informed at the 5th session of the Viet Nam-China Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation in Ha Noi, yesterday.
He emphasized about both the countries attaining great achievements in national construction through comprehensive cooperation which has been developing steadfastly.
Country exports to China reached $4.134 billion during the first seven months of this year, which is a 10.26 percent rise over same period, last year.
Textile, garments, footwear, crude oil, farm produce, aquatic products, mineral ores, forest products and electronic products were mainstay of Vietnamese exports to China.
China exported industrial products like raw materials for textile and garment industry, leather, cloths, fertilizers, petrol, machinery and equipment, and motorbike and auto parts.
Emphasising of close cooperation between the two countries, Deputy Minister Rue said bilateral trade target has been set at $15 billion by 2010.
