The heart of American textile industry North Caroline is in the limelight as President Goerge Bush pays a visit President Bush, Friday, to garner support for CAFTA.
North Carolina has seen textiles industries on the decline in the recent times with plants closing and jobless numbers on successive rise, more so after the elimination of global textile quotas.
The Prez visit follows invitation from a local textile executive coalition that supports the Central American Free Trade Agreement, or CAFTA.
The proposed agreement will see US textile industrial revival along with the member countries of the Central America and Dominican Republic.
The question still remains how US textile industry survive to compete the Chinese onslaught and turn around to prosper along with its own backyard!
