Turkiye recently announced raising prices for electricity and natural gas for industrial users. The price of electricity for businesses and industrial users was also raised by 20 per cent.
The raises were effective beginning October 1.
A BOTAS statement said the country has the lowest natural gas price among European countries after Ukraine based on the Household Energy Price Index (HEPI) prices.
Meanwhile, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority hiked the price of electricity for businesses and industrial customers by 20 per cent, effective October 1. The price of electricity for household use remains unchanged, according to Turkish media reports.
