Polyester staple fiber production continues decline

Indian man-made fiber industry sustains to suffer hard, due to stiff competition with cotton. Fiber output in April totaled 81,230 tons, 5.1 decline comparing to last.
Polyester staple production sees decline by 12.4 percent to 48,230 tons in April.
However, Acrylic staple fiber production was up by 1.2 percent to 19,800 tons.
Viscose staple fiber production was up 11.6 percent to 21,960 tons in April, equivalent to the record level of production in March.
