CLO Virtual Fashion, a 3D fashion design software used to create true-to-life 3D garments, has partnered with Pantone to include a Pantone Color library preset in its 5.1 version. The collaboration will help simplify the design process and every step of production from concept to creation for designers who utilise the software. It will launch on October 2.

The software will feature Pantone Fashion, Home + Interiors libraries including, Polyester (TSX), Cotton (TCX), and Nylon Brights (TN) giving users an extensive list of colours to play around with for their designs. By partnering with Pantone, CLO is able to leverage their colour offerings and contribute to practical inspiration for designers, said CLO Virtual Fashion in a press release.

"As part of our ongoing voice-of-customer outreach, we speak with fashion designers all over the world to find out how we can help them and what tools are being used where the Pantone libraries could be of value. CLO was brought up on multiple occasions," said Adrián Fernandez, vice president and general manager of Pantone. "As such, Pantone is delighted to be working with CLO to broaden the ability for fashion creators to select, apply, visualise and communicate the full range of Pantone Fashion, Home + Interiors colour libraries within CLO 5.1. Using Pantone colours in this way provides fashion and retail brands the confidence to specify Pantone's wide range of achievable colours, which are based on exacting Pantone physical colour swatches."

"Our goal as a company when considering partnerships solely relies upon feedback from our users and the necessity to work with Pantone became an organic match," said Ryan Teng, VP of business development at CLO Virtual Fashion. "With this collaboration, we hope to not only bring our users together, but also strengthen their ability to maintain consistency and creativity as we look towards the future."

Pantone provides a universal language of colour that enables colour-critical decisions through every stage of the workflow for brands and manufacturers. More than 10 million designers and producers around the world rely on Pantone products and services to help define, communicate and control colour from inspiration to realisation – leveraging advanced X-Rite technology to achieve colour consistency across various materials and finishes for graphics, fashion and product design.
