CNRFID & IDTechEx to join RAIN RFID Alliance as partners

The RAIN RFID Alliance, a non-profit organisation, has announced partnerships with two key organisations in the RFID industry, CNRFID (the French RFID National Center) and IDTechEx, to provide information and guidance to organisations involved in passive UHF RFID.
CNRFID was created by the French Government, to encourage the deployment of RFID, Radio Frequency Identification. RFID is an automatic identification technology offering potential applications in all sectors (retail, health, aeronautic industry, leisure, transportation, etc.). Active RFID tags and passive RFID tags appear in different form factors: RFID tags, RFID badges, RFID cards, etc. These RFID tags are generally associated with RFID readers connected to the information system. The CNRFID supports the RFID suppliers, RFID users, institutions and research organisations according to their needs by promoting the use of ISO or EPC standards. It brings together over 120 national and international stakeholders involved in the development of RFID projects.
IDTechEx is a recognised industry expert and is widely cited in global media on emerging technologies. IDTechEx research helps companies appraise their opportunities, understand the market size, potential and trends to allow organisations to make the best decisions to benefit from RFID, according to a press release.
