SHIMA SEIKI MFG., LTD. of Wakayama, Japan, in collaboration with its U.S. subsidiary SHIMA SEIKI U.S.A. INC., will exhibit at the International Apparel Sourcing Show, shown alongside Texworld USA. On display will be the latest version of "SDS-ONE APEX3" 3D apparel design workstation for promoting its design and simulation features aimed at the apparel and textile industries.
SDS-ONE APEX3 is capable of highly photo-realistic simulations for knitwear and printed textiles, as well as woven and pile fabrics, for performing design and colorway evaluations without the need for costly and time-consuming samplemaking.
APEX3 also features a user-friendly Assistant Menu for easy operation by beginners and professionals alike. Also on display will be "Made in U.S.A." WHOLEGARMENT knitwear proudly produced in New Jersey.
WHOLEGARMENT knitwear is a new type of knitted garment whose production method was originally invented by SHIMA SEIKI. Whereas knitwear is traditionally produced in parts such as front body, back body and sleeves which are then sewn together, WHOLEGARMENT knitwear is produced on the knitting machine in one entire piece with no sewing required. Its seam-free characteristics result in unprecedented fit and comfort, as well as dramatic reductions in material wastage for eco-conscious garment production.
