Needle signs top online retailer Urban Outfitters

Needle announced that it has added one of the world's most prominent global online retailers to its client roster: Urban Outfitters (URBN).
Urban Outfitters will use Needle's Guided Shopping Platform to serve its customers with a personalized online shopping experience. The platform provides a rich chat toolset for agents to assist online shoppers to make a purchase decision including the ability to interactively demonstrate features of products, cross-sell and up-sell with an outfit builder and cart builder, and create social coupons to share with friends via Facebook.

“We chose Needle over other providers because their platform provides tools for a creative, high-touch collaboration with our customer online,” said Holly Devine, director of eCommerce at Urban Outfitters. “Features like in-chat social networking and the Needle Outfit Builder make improving Key Performance Indicators like Average Order Value and social impressions easier for us while making our customers feel highly valued.”
A thought leader in distributed workforces and crowdsourcing, Lynch founded Logoworks in 2001, which was acquired by HP in 2007. In early 2011, Needle closed a $2M Series A equity funding round that included prominent industry leaders and Chicago investment firm Lightbank (Groupon investors).
