A material planning & optimization software for sewn products industry, intelloCut is the first runner up in the National finals

‘intelloCut’, a material planning and optimization software for sewn products industry (apparel / leather / inflatable / upholstery / footwear / home furnishing manufacturers/ technical textile etc.), developed by Threadsol Softwares, has won the Microsoft Bizspark Startup Challenge 2013 National Final held in Bangalore. 10 winning companies from 10 cities participated in this grand finale and intelloCut was declared as the first runner up.

The Microsoft BizSpark India Startup Challenge is an annual platform celebrating entrepreneurial excellence across the country by helping fast-track the success of promising startups in the early stages of their career.

The Challenge provides them with software, support and visibility, as well as a chance to be recognized on the national stage. An array of cash and non-cash prizes help them further their business plan and give them a real shot at achieving business success.

Marking the close of an exciting and fiercely-contested month-long competition which saw more than 700 entry submissions, was held across 10 cities and featured 100 startups brimming with exciting business ideas, the finals concluded with team intelloCut getting the first runner up award, taking home the grand prize of an Acer Netbook, XBOX 360 and an exclusive branding package and also won Nokia Lumia 820 as well as cash prizes worth $4,000 as the regional winner to boost its business plan. intelloCut also received  the BizSpark Plus membership of worth $60,000 of Windows Azure,  which helps cover cloud computing costs.

Commenting on the great entrepreneurial promise showed by early startups throughout the event, Rajinish Menon, Director - Independent Software Vendor (ISV) and Cloud Strategy at Microsoft India, said, “This year, the Microsoft BizSpark India Startup Challenge saw more startups compete. The variety and quality of startups have been fantastic. We believe that the startup ecosystem in India is well.”

On the occasion, Manasij Ganguli, Co-Founder & CTO, intelloCut says, “We are really very excited to be one of the winners. As a start up, this kind of platform is very important for us which brings our visibility into the market and also gives us access to a mentor network that can help us in our go-to market business strategies.”

intelloCut measures, predicts and optimizes material utilization and productivity for sewn products industry. With offices in Bangalore and Delhi, intelloCut claims to saves upto 10% material, improves cutting productivity by 30% and reduces end bits by 70% in the practical scenarios.
