Students from the Production Management department at the Fashion Institute of Technology will have a great surprise for the Fall 2013 semester. The department that offers an Associate and a Bachelors degree has just placed an order for a new NScan Scanner.

The new scanner will be used with the NScan 2.13 software to demonstrate to students how a lot of apparel production houses digitize their patterns. The Production management major aims to introduce students to production techniques and business practices needed in implementing competitive manufacturing systems for today’s global marketplace.

FIT is well known for being one of the most prestigious and competitive fashion schools in the world. Big names of the fashion industry like Calvin Klein, Norma Kamali and Nina Garcia are FIT alumni. Fashionista.com placed FIT as one of the top 10 fashion schools in the world.

Nhega is a New York based technology company whose mission is to develop, produce and market superior productivity enhancing systems for the apparel and related industries. N-hega’s development team consists of leading experts in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
