Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, the global market share leader in point of sale technology, announced HUGO BOSS has selected Toshiba for a global deployment of store technology solutions led by TCxWave, a versatile solution unlike any other POS, kiosk or self-service device the market has ever seen, being deployed across its European stores. The United States market deployment includes TCxWave, with an option for Toshiba SurePOS 785, also a premier point-of-sale solution, commencing in September 2013.

The HUGO BOSS Group is one of the world market leaders in the premium and luxury segment and is among the world’s most profitable apparel manufacturers. As a leading specialty store focused on marketing high-end women’s and men’s fashion and accessories, HUGO BOSS will install new POS systems in over 500 stores to deliver a unique and engaging experience for associates and customers. In addition, the deal includes purchase options for the cash register systems of HUGO BOSS franchisee stores.

Developed by award-winning industrial designers, the striking appearance of TCxWave allows retailers to use the technology throughout the store to create a consistent and positive shopping experience.

The versatile design and functionality of the TCxWave point of sale, kiosk or self-service unit enables the freedom to use one platform for multiple purposes throughout the store, and the wide-screen format and gesture touch based screen affords investment protection for evolving retail space.

Toshiba’s goal is to help retailers adapt their strategies, stores and technology to embrace a new relationship with modern consumers where the Store participates in the consumer’s buying journey through many different channels - whether on the web, in the store or on a mobile device.

“Our Toshiba team is excited to make this journey with HUGO BOSS to provide a high level of service and a seamless customer experience,” said Steven D. Ladwig, President & CEO, Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, Inc. “As the pace of change in modern retail continues to evolve, we are committed to assisting retailers to redefine ‘The Store’ and delight their customers.”
