Avery's RFID tracking reduces risk for US apparel brands

Avery Dennison Retail Branding and Information Solutions (RBIS), the world’s leading provider of RFID-based inventory management solutions for apparel, announced further details of its ability to meet the requirements of the licensing agreement with Round Rock Research, LLC for radio frequency identification (RFID) tags, labels, and readers.
 
This agreement, signed in December2013, is designed to help US based apparel retailers and brands implement item level RFID. Round Rock Research, LLC has confirmed that Avery Dennison provides strict end-to-end tracking of its RFID products, thereby alleviating Round Rock licensing audit requirements.
 
"We have reviewed Avery Dennison's ability to track RFID tags and labels and consider the end to end visibility provided through their service bureaus and other customer based solutions sufficient to allow end users to meet audit and certification requirements necessary under Round Rock’s licensing program to confirm that RFID tags are licensed," said Jim Burris, vice president of licensing, Round Rock Research, LLC.
 
“This license agreement, which encompasses a simplified audit process, reduces time, energy, and risk for US based Apparel Retailers and Brands who use Avery Dennison RFID inlays,” said Shawn Neville, president of Avery Dennison RBIS. “We will continue to invest in market leading solutions, products, and global manufacturing and services support to help our customers achieve dramatically improved inventory accuracy and visibility with RFID enabled solutions.”
