Centric Software, Inc., signed a contract with STF Group S.A., its first product lifecycle management (PLM) software customer in Latin America.

STF Group, a corporate leader in the design and manufacturing of women’s clothing, is headquartered, and operates its Studio F and ELA brands, in Yumbo, Colombia. STF Group will use the Centric 8 PLM software to improve processes and sustain growth in its retail sales, clothing, footwear, luxury and consumer goods departments. “The company is growing rapidly and anticipates increasing the number of retail stores that it operates by almost 50 percent during the next three years,” says Myriam Silva, vice president of STF Group. In 2014 alone, STF Group expects to open stores in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru and the United States.

Beyond expansion of its retail operations, STF Group’s growth plans include e-commerce and the introduction of a new range of products. A specialist in women’s clothing (including jeans, jackets, tops and dresses), STF Group now is considering entering the swimwear market, plus fashions for girls and teens.

Centric’s PLM software will play a decisive role in the development of new collections from STF Group, explains Silva. PLM will deliver improved visibility, control and clear communications to aid the creation of each product, and form the foundation for efficient production in all markets reached by the company’s brands. “The PLM software will assist STF Group as it considers incorporating new product categories.”

STF Group will implement the complete Centric 8 PLM solution, including mobile applications. Centric was the first PLM company in the industry to offer mobile apps, and offers a series of easy-to-use apps to bring the benefits of the mobile enterprise to the design and development process. “Centric’s mobile applications will enable the creative personnel from STF Group to express and offer their best work, where and when the inspiration occurs," says Silva.

“The Centric 8 PLM software will provide STF Group with an excellent foundation to achieve optimal performance as it continues on its fast growth path,” says Chris Groves, president and CEO of Centric. “With Centric 8, STF Group can continue its growth with innovation, efficacy and excellence—values that have helped it become the principal women’s clothing brand in Colombia and Latin America.”
