Lectra, the world leader in software, CAD/CAM equipment and related services dedicated to the fashion industry, has announced the appointment of Guido Turco as PLM Business Development Manager for Italy.
Guido Turco will be based in Milan, reporting directly to Fabio Canali, Director of Lectra Italy, the company's largest subsidiary with 130 team members serving 3,000 customers.
Guido Turco will be responsible for all Lectra PLM activity in Italy. Specifically developed for the fashion markets and officially launched in April 2006, Lectra's PLM offering allows companies to shorten lead times and reduce costs associated with the conception of products in a context of permanently renewing collections.
Providing continuous decision-making support, it rationalizes and improves the reliability of product development processes, and assures the synchronization and traceability of information flows. In addition, it optimizes the collaborative modes used between contractors and suppliers.
"I'm very proud to have the opportunity to manage the development of Lectra's PLM business in Italy," Guido Turco affirms.
Guido Turco brings more than 20 years of apparel industry experience, including expertise in technical and sales processes as well as project management, both strategic and operational.
