Italy based software solution provider Lectra demonstrates support for high demand for faster fashion cycles and better fit.
Lectra announced the availability of Modaris V5 pattern design and grading software, which enables apparel manufacturers, brands, and retailers to meet productivity challenges by automating, simplifying, and speeding up the pattern design process regardless of designer skill level. New packaging tailors the Modaris solution to process-oriented functions to perfectly meet customers' needs and pattern design experience levels.
With this new release, Lectra delivers the most comprehensive apparel-dedicated pattern design and grading solution on the market today. With a new dynamic measurement chart that interactively works with the pattern, advanced interoperability with virtually any CAD/CAM solution, and the ability to drive HPGL technology-based plotters, Modaris makes it easier for designers to increase productivity and save time at all stages of the pattern design development process. The software was recently made available in early advance release to customers in North America, after a successful release in Europe.
“The Dynamic Measuring Chart is an amazing tool – it is a real functional chart,” said Juergen Schuette, Vice President of Technical Design & Development at DKNY. “Measurements remain displayed on the pieces and are updated automatically as pieces are modified. The drawings can be displayed in the measurement chart, indicating where the measurement is being taken. Converting styles to and from other CAD systems is very easy and convenient.”
