SKANDAL in Almaty opts for RETAILOR SHOP 3D
Human Solutions GmbH of Kaiserslautern has made its first move in a new regional market - the SKANDAL fashion house in Almaty, Kazakhstan, is the first company in Central Asia to use a 3D body scanner and the RETAILOR clothing solution.
At the end of November 2006, a new SKANDAL store opened - offering mass-produced, tailored menswear and ladies' wear.
The retailer in Kazakhstan is linked to the German manufacturers via RETAILOR and can transmit all the necessary data online.
At the initial launch of the new service, customers had a choice of either Odermark or Scabal collections - however, Wahl, Rieder and Oktavia are also in the SKANDAL pipeline.
SKANDAL decided on the high-end solution RETAILOR SHOP 3D. In this version, a 3D body scanner takes customers' measurements digitally.
In Almaty, the new model VITUS Smart LC is used - it was specially conceived for meeting the demands of clothing retailers. In comparison to its predecessor, VITUS Smart XXL, it requires less space and costs much less to purchase and maintain.
This was made possible through a radical change in design: the person being measured used to stand within four columns arranged in a square - but the VITUS Smart LC only requires three.
During the sales talk, the RETAILOR program also provides comprehensive support for the professional sales person and helps the customer with his or her decisions - from basic questions like which cloth or cutto details like the choice of buttons. All data is transmitted online to the manufacturer.
