Apparel & textile Industry Specialist Seminar Event in Sept 9

Windows based ERP, Warehouse and Distribution management systems solutions provider XeBusiness together with The University of Salford's business link association CAMPUS and regional textile industry body nwtexnet will jointly sponsor a lunchtime seminar 'IT FOR BUSINESS SURVIVAL' event on how IT can provide competitive advantage to local apparel and textile manufacturers, distributors and importers.

The seminar will be on Friday 9th September 2005 at the University of Salford from 12 noon to 2.00pm.

There is no charge for attending the event as long as delegates are directly or indirectly involved with the textile and apparel sector in the North West.

Two keynote speakers - Martin Strzelecki, joint Chief Executive of Henri-Lloyd International, a fast growing and highly successful marine clothing and branded fashion retailer and distributor and David Cullis, Chief Executive of XeBusiness - will discuss the strategic impact of an effective IT system on the business performance of textile suppliers.

Issues that the speakers will address will include how the effective deployment of IT can:

- Reduce trading and operating costs, thereby improving trading performance
- Improve customer service to increase sales order intake and reduce lost sales orders
- Streamline process within a company to make it less paper and spreadsheet dependent and therefore faster and more accurate
- Permit effective electronic communication and collaboration with customers and suppliers using the Internet to facilitate transaction cost reduction and quick response to sales demand.
