Sarin Technologies, a world leader in supplying technological tools to the diamond industry, is launching a series of short product demo movies aimed at providing the industry with a quick and easy-to-understand introduction to a selection of the company's products.
The product demos, which last several minutes, show real-life situations and the way in which employees at companies across the diamond pipeline can use the equipment to give customers answers to their concerns.
The desktop machines featured in the movies give almost instantaneous solutions to questions regarding the grading, planning, and manufacturing of diamonds.
The first product demo is for the DiaScan S+ which allows retailers to show customers the cut quality of their diamonds on the store counter. Meanwhile, wholesalers can use the machine to quickly estimate the cut quality of the diamonds they are selling or being offered.
In the video, which is easily accessed from Sarin's website, a jewelry store assistant shows a potential customer the differences between various cut qualities, and illustrates the ease with which staff can put to rest concerns while simultaneously educating the jewelry-buying public.
The DiaScan S+ video will be followed in the early part of 2008 by movies for Colibri, DiaScribe, OrchiDia, Quazer, and DiaMark-Z.
The Colibri machine is a ground-breaking color grading product for polished diamonds; the DiaScribe machine enables users to inscribe any identifying text or logo on a diamond's girdle; and OrchiDia is a color predictor for rough diamonds that enables manufacturers to forecast with great accuracy the final color of a polished gem.
