Victoria's Secret deploys GLOBALedit online image management software

Industrial Color, the leader in digital capture and workflow services, announced that Victoria's Secret, the leading retailer of women's apparel, lingerie, fragrances and personal care products has implemented GLOBALedit online image management software to connect its network of offices, staff and external suppliers to a rapidly growing visual asset library.

GLOBALedit connects creative and business communities, providing global access to massive photo collections and a suite of workflow tools that streamline and stimulate collaborative production workflow.

Even at global distances, users enjoy the fastest possible, secure access to file-based assets with fully integrated high-speed file transfer powered by Aspera's breakthrough fasp technology.

BJ Gray, AVP Marketing Operations, Victoria's Secret, explains, "Our images are the foundation of our brand. Maintaining the Victoria's Secret brand requires a powerful, flexible system to catalog images, connect our various organizations, and drive more efficient workflows."

With GLOBALedit, Victoria's Secret is now empowered with online access to a common content library and an integrated array of Web services that expedite photo selection, image rights, asset routing, and image archiving. These services are optimized by industry-leading XMP metadata tools and state-of-the-art Aspera fasp transport.

Every day, files from the content library, now approaching seven terabytes, are transferred and shared quickly, efficiently, and securely via Aspera technology, including large, high-resolution files for the famous print catalogs, along with direct mail, print advertising, public relations and the growing Web properties.

This solution will be demonstrated at NAB 2008 in Las Vegas, April 14-17, at the Aspera booth in the South Upper Hall no SU15509.
